Why Electrical Technology?

91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ's Electrical Technology program offers three levels of training and skills that lead to a career you can be proud of! Electricians are needed to install and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories. They work indoors and outdoors and in nearly every type of facility.

91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ's courses teach skills recommended by area employers in the industry. The program is offered on the Van Alstyne campus and offers two levels of certificates leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Programs of study include:

  • Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Technology
  • Residential Electrical Technology Certificate
  • Commercial Electrical Technology Certificate

Program Focus

Students learn skills in:

  • Electrical Theory
  • Electrical Wiring
  • Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Electrical Safety

Student Life

Students gain hands-on experience in electrical technology. They also have the opportunity to learn and socialize both in and outside of the classroom. 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ offers state-of-the-art labs with the latest technology so that students gain the skills needed to be successful in the workforce.
