91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ offers two associate degree programs and associate certificates and credentials: Associate of Science (AS) in Agricultural Science and the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Agribusiness Management

AS Agricultural Science

Designed for traditional college students planning to transfer to a four-year university, the Associate of Science in Agricultural Sciences provides a strong academic foundation in agricultural theory, science, and industry principles. This transfer-focused degree prepares students to continue their education in advanced agricultural disciplines.

Workforce and Career Track: AAS in Agribusiness Management 

Designed for nontraditional students, working adults, and aspiring agricultural entrepreneurs, this pathway offers flexible, mostly online coursework combined with hands-on practicum and internship opportunities. Stackable credentials allow students to gain skills quickly, enter the workforce, choose a certification level that fits their needs.

Stackable Credentials Include:

  • Occupational Skills Award in Small Scale Agriculture
  • Level 1 Certificate: Agribusiness
  • Level 1 Certificate: Agricultural Entrepreneurship
  • Level 2 Certificate: Agricultural Industry and Technology

Program Focus

A graduate with an AS in Agricultural Sciences should possess competencies in basic economics and management, plant and animal operations, pest control, production and utilization of plant and animal products, marketing, and food sciences. Students interested in animals, wildlife, plants, biology, chemistry, engineering, economics, environment, technology, genetics, business, marketing, and more can all find an exciting and fulfilling career in agriculture.

The 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Agricultural Sciences program has a strong partnership with the at We have an official articulation agreement that allows 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ college graduates with an Associates in Agricultural Sciences to transfer into the agricultural programs at Commerce with their Freshman and Sophomore years completed. The collaborative relationship between the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and ETAMU programs allows students to smoothly transition into a Bachelor of Science pathway in Agriculture.
